FAQ
Am I eligible for the NDIS?
You are eligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) if you:
- are aged between 9 and 65 years of age, and
- are an Australian citizen or resident or permanent visa holder, and
- meet the disability or early intervention requirements.
If you have a child younger than 9, an early childhood partner can provide supports to children before they apply, and let families know if the NDIS is right for their child.
If you are aged 65 years and over you may not be eligible for the NDIS. In most cases, you will receive support through the Commonwealth aged care system.
